I thought this medication gave you joint pains, and leg cramps. My mom had breast cancer surgery and the pain is sharp only on the breast she had surgery on. Is this normal? Has any women taken this pill and had pain only the breast? thank you

According to this site, yes breast pain can be a side effect of taking arimidex. Just to make sure this in “normal” breast pain with this med it would be a good idea to discuss this with her oncologist.

Discuss this with Oncologist, and make sure they give your Mom a good answer.
There are other side effects that might happen from this drug, so go to http://www.after-cancer.com which has lots of fun things to do/use if she gets dry skin etc.

Arimidex can cause a range of side effects including joint pain and leg cramps.
With pain at the surgery site I would be concerned about infection.
This should be checked by her Dr to be safe.
